Moonlit Forest CASE

Michele from Michele's Craft Corner and I worked on recreating a gorgeous moonlit forest card by Michelle Zindorf. Her cards are absolutely stunning! I had to share my CASE.

Craft with Beth: Michelle Zindorf Moonlit Forest Lovely as A Tree Masking Reverse Masking Brayering Brayer CASE

We used several techniques to make this card - brayering, masking, reverse masking, and stamping off. It is not as complicated as it sounds. Just take one step and one technique at a time.

The moon is formed by creating a mask from a circle punch. The craters are a stamp from Gorgeous Grunge! How clever!

Quick Tip: Gluing

Craft with Beth: Peaceful Pines Quick Tip Gluing Diffiicult or Small Pieces Card is a CASE from Yvonne Pree

When gluing difficult to glue pieces such as small die-cut stars to embossed cardstock, I find it helpful to place a large clear acrylic block on top of the area while it dries. The clear acrylic block acts as a weight, keeps your hands free to make more cards, and its smooth surface is easier to release than glue covered fingers.

The card pictured above is a CASE from Yvonne Pree with a few changes. I thought Yvonne's card was so perfect for our Stamp of the Month Club in September featuring the Peaceful Pines stamp set.

My next Stamp of the Month Club will be held on November 15th. Choose from either the morning session from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm or the evening session from 6:00 pm to 8:30pm. November's club will focus on the Hang Your Stocking Stamp Set. Be sure to order your stamp set by Tuesday, November 1st to ensure a timely delivery.

Scrumptious Chocolate Covered Pretzels

Many years around this time, my Mom and start making chocolate covered pretzels to give away as Christmas gifts. This year we made double chocolate pretzels and salted caramel pretzels. Let me tell you these are so delicious, you will not be able to stop at just one! Yum!

Craft with Beth: Here's to Cheers Cheerful Tags Framelits Christmas Gift Packaging Chocolate Covered Pretzels Salted Caramel Candy Cane Lane

We adorned each bag with a scrumptious tag using the second tag framelit from the Here's to Cheers Bundle.

The Cherry Cobbler curly die looks like frosting. The mini jingle bell grouping really set the Christmas spirit too!

I added a Whisper White mat to the inside of the card. I took a scrap and lined it up with the bottom section of the tag framelit and ran it through the Big Shot Machine.

Next I stamped the tag with the to and love images in Early Espresso ink. What a great idea to have love instead of just from!

For the bottom border, I cut a 3/4" by 4" piece of Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper (DSP). To make sure the DSP lined up exactly on the tag, I also partially die cut this piece. I placed the DSP underneath the bottom portion of the tag die and ran it through the Big Shot Machine. It comes out the perfect width and with rounded corners.
