Peachy Orange Peel Technique: Fresh Fruit Card Set Part Six

The last card Kim Williams demonstrated is an all occasion note card with a scrumptious, embossed peach in the center! When I first saw her demonstration, I was truly amazed!

Kim called this technique Orange Peel. She said it didn't have a name, so she made one for this gorgeous technique! When the watercolor paper is embossed, it looks like the dimples on the orange peel! This is definitely a WOW card!

Let's cut the paper. You'll need Emerald Envy, Fruit Stand DSP, Whisper White, and Watercolor Paper.

Banner Strip	Emerald Envy	2” x 6”
Inside Mat	Whisper White	5-1/4” x 4”

Adhere the Fruit Stand DSP to the Emerald Envy card base.

Stamp the Banner Strip with either the striped image from the Playful Backgrounds stamp set or the Brushstrokes background stamp with Emerald Envy ink. Then punch one end with the Triple Banner Punch. Position and adhere the Banner Strip the Fruit Stand DSP as shown in the photograph. Trim any excess the overhangs the top of the card.

Fill a spritzer with water.

Press the peach image into the Peekaboo Peach ink pad. Then daub Flirty Flamingo ink along the outside of the peach image. Stamp the peach in the center of the watercolor circle. Putting two colors of ink onto the stamp adds fantastic depth and shading! Wow!

Press the solid leaf image into the Pear Pizzazz ink pad. Then daub Emerald Envy ink along the bottom edges of the leaf image. Stamp the leaf above the peach.

If this wasn't gorgeous enough, spritz a bunch of water all over the watercolor circle and watch the colors meld! While the paper is still wet, generously coat the entire paper with clear embossing powder. Heat the embossing powder to reveal the orange peel effect. Swoon! Allow the paper to fully dry and cool before attaching with dimensionals to the center of your striped banner.

You can really see the two colors on the peach here inside the card! I daubed just the left edge and the left center of the peach and the bottom edges of the leaves. Experiment with where you place the second color and how much you place to find the look you like best.

Yep! This peach looks almost good enough to eat! I hope you have enjoyed all six of these fabulous Fresh Fruit cards by Kim Williams! Petals of Gratitude: Fresh Fruit Card Set Part Five

The fifth card in our Fresh Fruit Card Set also features the flower images. The petals seem to delicately float across the card!

This thank you card uses the 1-3/4" Circle Punch and a rectangle as the masking shape.

Start by cutting all of the paper. You will need Sweet Sugarplum, Flirty Flamingo, Whisper White, and Watercolor Paper.

Next punch out the circle from a sticky note. Press it down in the lower right corner of the water color paper.

Stamp the larger solid flower image with Flirty Flamingo ink from the upper left corner to the lower right corner.

Stamp the larger flower outline image with Sweet Sugarplum ink around each larger flower.

Stamp the larger circle image with Sweet Sugarplum ink in the center of each larger flower.

Stamp the smaller solid flower image with Flirty Flamingo ink from the upper left corner to the lower right corner.

Stamp the smaller flower outline image with Sweet Sugarplum ink around each smaller flower.

Stamp the smallest circle image with Sweet Sugarplum, filling in the spaces between the flowers and in the center of each smaller flower.

Once the ink is dry, remove the circle mask and stamp thank you in the center with Basic Black Archival ink. To create this two line thank you, first stamp thank you on a sticky note. Cut the greeting in half between the two words. Place both pieces of the mask where you want to stamp. Then remove the part you are inking. Do the same with the second word.

Adhere the watercolor paper to the Flirty Flamingo mat slightly askew and then adhere that to the Sweet Sugarplum card base.

Add three rhinestones in the upper right corner.

On the inside of the card, I stamped a trio of flower images in the lower right corner, leaving space for a personalized message. None of the On Stage samples showed the insides of the cards, so all of the insides are my own design.
