Delivering Some Easter Treats!

Today my husband and I will visit with his relatives before Easter. It is nice to get together with family!  I filled a mini egg carton with a few nail polish bottles and a sheet of nail stickers for his second cousin who is 12 and a 1/2 for an Easter treat.

The inspiration for the cover of this super cute mini egg carton comes from an amazing demonstrator in France. I apologize that I have misplaced her name.

I just love how the Stitched Square frames the chocolate bunny and eggs like a sweet picture!

Inside the carton, I nestled three bottles of nail polish in paper grass. The nail polish colors are perfect for spring!

On the inside of the lid, I adhered a mini envelope to hold a sheet of nail stickers. The envelope was made using the Envelope Punch Board and the 2016-2018 In Color Envelope Paper (which, sadly, is retiring. I love this Envelope Paper!). It measures 2-1/2" by 3". It fits perfectly inside the lid!

I can't wait to give her her Easter treat box!

I hope you have a wonderful Easter!

Thanks for stopping by!
Beth

Basket of Daffodils Treat Holder

Craft with Beth: Daffodil Basket Treat Holder Ferror Rocher Easter Basket Basket Bunch

We made this sweet Easter basket at my Easter treats class. This is a combination of the treat holders from Amy Koenders and Maria Kandylas and my twist. It holds a Ferroro Rocher hazelnut chocolate. Yum!

Cut a 3-1/2" by 3-1/2" piece of Tip Top Taupe cardstock. Place the cardstock on your Score Board and score at 1-1/8".

Rotate the cardstock 90 degrees and score again at 1-1/8".

Rotate and score for all 4 sides.

Cut and notch two opposite sides - either the left and right or the top and bottom. Cut along the score line from the edge to the center.  Then cut at an angle on each side of each tab.

Place glue on each tab, fold up the sides, and adhere together to form the box.

Cut two basket handles and two woven baskets from Tip Top Taupe cardstock. Adhere the basket handle to the back of the woven basket. Attach one basket to the front of the box and one basket to the back of the box.

Stamp and cut six flowers with Daffodil Delight ink on Daffodil Delight cardstock. Attach 3 flowers to each side of the box with glue dots. Add a large pearl to the center of each flower.

Stamp and cut 10 leaves in Pear Pizzazz ink on Pear Pizzazz cardstock. Attach 5 leaves to each side of the box with liquid glue.

Stamp and cut 2 bows in with Flirty Flamingo ink in Flirty Flamingo cardstock. Attach 1 bow to each handle.

These darling treat holders are fantastic not only for Easter baskets. They would be great at a place setting for Easter dinner or any meal and for a thank you. You could even add a little banner with the thanks a bunch stamped image!

How would you decorate your basket? I would love to see what you make!

Thanks for stopping by!

Create Your Own Easter Basket with the Window Box Thinlits

I created a little Easter basket using the Window Box Thinlits and the Basket Bunch Bundle that is perfect for filling with a little candy or a small toy!

First cut one hexagon framelit from the Window Box Thinlits from Tip Top Taupe cardstock.

Then cut the hexagon top in half horizontally. These half hexagons will form the front and back sides of the basket.

Adhere the top half of the hexagon you just cut to the bottom center of the box sides. Your basket will look like a butterfly or bee now.

Next place the half hexagon thinlit with the rectangular cuts on the half hexagon and run it through the Big Shot.

Repeat for the other half hexagon.

Burnish all score lines. Fold the square sides up and adhere to the front and back sides of the basket.

Cut a 1" by 8" strip of Tip Top Taupe cardstock for the handle. Attach the handle to the sides of the basket with brads. This enables the handle to be positional. I also added a circle of cardstock on the inside of the basket to cover the brad ends. This is an optional step. You can also glue the handle to the basket if you do not wish to use brads.

Once the handle is attached, add a Whisper White organza faux bow to the handle. Wrap the ribbon around the handle and adhere in place with glue dots. It is better to use a dry glue here. Glue dots won't make the ribbon soggy.

Then tie a bow separately and adhere over the center of the ribbon on the handle. Looks great and is easy-peasy.

Your basket is ready to decorate. For my basket, I added a Whisper White cardstock strip with the You're Egg-stra Special stamp in Chocolate Chip ink and snipped the ends to create a banner. Then I added 3 Easter eggs using Wisteria Wonder, Soft Sky, and Pink Pirouette cardstock and the Basket Builder Framelits.

Next fill with paper strips for grass and with your treats. You can use store bought paper grass or use the Fringe Scissors and Wild Wasabi cardstock to make your own paper grass.

You can also place the basket in a gusseted cellophane bag for giving.
