Have a Dino-riffic Day!

In honor of my nephew starting school next week, I made him a little back to school present - a new set of crayons and a few pencils with characters.

Craft with Beth: Have a Dino-riffic Day Pencil Case and Crayon Wrapper Back to School Envelope Punch Board Stampin' Up! No Bones About It

To make the crayon wrapper, I measured the width, height, and depth of the crayon box. I cut a 9" by 3" piece of Thick Whisper White cardstock. Then I made my own Designer Series Paper by stamping the cardstock with the stegosaurus image from the No Bones About It stamp set.

Then I wrapped the cardstock around the crayon box to get an idea of where the score lines should go and scored the cardstock with the Stampin' Trimmer. Measure and score your crayon box to fit.

To make the pencil case, I lined up the pencils and measured the total width and length. Then I cut a 7-5/8" x 7-5/8" piece of Thick Whisper White cardstock. I stamped all of the dinosaurs, some leaves, and the footprints to create more Designer Series Paper. I used the Envelope Punch Board to create the envelope shape. The first cut is at 1-3/4". With each turn, I lined up the previous score line to make the next score line.

The sides of the envelope were too long to fold over, so I cut each side down to 1-3/4" (that was the total width of the pencils).  I used Tear and Tape to close the bottom and side flaps. I used removable adhesive tape to close the top.

The tags were made with the Tags and Labels Framelits, the Botanical Builder Thinlits, and the Triple Banner Punch. This is a cute little gift to help start your school year off!

Have a Dino-rrific Birthday!

Today is my nephew's fifth birthday. To celebrate, I  made him this birthday card using the No Bones About it Stamp Set. He loves dinosaurs!

Craft with Beth: No Bones About It Birthday Card

I stamped each of the dinosaurs in a diagonal line across a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Whisper White cardstock. Then I stamped the leaves between the dinosaurs to fill in some of the negative space and to provide interest.

I used Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Pacific Point, and Garden Green ink pads.

I created the number 5 embellishment using the Large Number Dies, the smallest Deco Label Die, and the 2" Circle Punch. I adhered the circle to the center of the Deco Label. I added the edge pieces of the dimensionals sheet to the back of the number 5 to raise it.

After adding the number 5 embellishment to the center of the card, I stamped the sentiment Look Who's Turning above with Archival Basic Black ink.

The inside is stamped with another dinosaur wearing an adorable party hat! I stamped the group of spots around the top of the inside to look like celebratory confetti.

I stamped the envelope to match the inside of the card. I hope he enjoys his birthday card on his special day!
