Shout it from the Rooftops Succulent Framelits are Back on the Clearance Rack!!

Woohoo! I am thrilled beyond words that the Succulent Framelits are back on the Clearance Rack! I was and still am devastated that the Oh, So Succulent stamp set and framelits retired.

I love them, my mom loves them, and so do my customers. Even if you are not a succulent fan, these framelit dies might just convert you! Plus, no green thumb is required to "grow" these succulents!

I still use the Succulent Framelits for my personal projects. In fact, I have two sets of Succulent Framelits to make the cutting go even quicker.

The Succulent Framelits are great because you can use them independently of the stamp set, you can practice color coordinating, build on your sponging techniques, and create gorgeous home decor projects, cards, gift bag embellishments, gift tags, and more!

My mom and I spent many an afternoon just playing with different size and layering combinations. There are a myriad number of ways to put the petal layers together - big, small, medium, center the petals on top of each other, offset the petal from each other, etc.

We also tried various ways of sponging each petal layer. We tried sponging the entire petal, the middle portion, just the petal tips, and even layering multiple inks on top of each other.

We folded some petals upwards and some downwards for even more effects. The results were just stunning!

We sponged the same ink combinations on multiple colors of cardstock to see how each ink and cardstock reacted.

For Christmas, my mom and I used some of our succulent creations to design a wreath for my sister-in-law.

We both had many succulents left, so we made a few more home decor projects! Here is an old-fashioned match holder tin filled with a sweet succulent arrangement.

Here are two succulent arrangements in small wooden planter boxes.

Sweet Solitary Succulent

This sweet, solitary succulent looks so realistic! It is made using the Succulent Framelits, ink, and sponge daubers!

Craft with Beth: Oh So Succulent Succulent Framelits home decor 3D

I die cut 2 medium layers, 1 small layer, and 1 tiny layer from Pear Pizzazz cardstock. Then I sponged each layer with Pear Pizzazz and Always Artichoke ink to create depth.

I worked on the inside of the layers first. I sponged the ends of the leaves with Pear Pizzazz ink using a sponge dauber. A sponge dauber gave me more control in a smaller area and less texture than a yellow sponge.

Then I sponged a heavy layer of Always Artichoke ink around the edges.

Finally, I daubed Whisper White Craft ink in the center of the tiny and the small layers.

Once all of the layers were dry, I repeated the Pear Pizzazz and Always Artichoke sponging on the outside of the layers since both sides of the succulent would be visible in the jar.

I let the layers dry for a few moments before carefully, burnishing the leaves with the bone folder and adhering the layers together. I next held the succulent in my palm and slightly crumbled the layers, so that they would hold their shape even more.

Lastly, I placed the succulent inside the jar. I bought this jar already filled with the faux dirt on clearance at a local craft store, but you could also fill a small jar with potting soil (or other dirt that has been sterilized).

Have you tried creating your own succulents? I would love to see what you make!

Thanks for stopping by!
