End of Summer Ladybug Treat Holder

I can't believe the summer is almost over! I wanted to share one more summer themed treat holder with you before the weather starts to get cooler. Aren't these ladybug treat holders adorable? These treats are great for celebrating the end of summer or even as a first day of school treat!

Each of the ladybugs are foil-wrapped solid chocolates with a paper cut-out underneath for the legs. I found these chocolates at Lidl. They have awesome, seasonal chocolate candy that fit nicely into all sorts of treat holders.

This project does not use much cardstock. In fact, I used scraps to create all of the lovely ladybug treat holders. I made fourteen in all (only three are photographed). This makes for a very economical project. I hope you give these precious treat holders a try!

One of a Kind Impossible Card

Today's card features the Impossible Card Fun Fold. Originally, this fold started out as a magician's optical illusion and transformed into a clever card base!

Without knowing how this oceanic optical illusion card was created, it does look impossible! Once you know the secret, it all makes complete sense. It starts with a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Tranquil Tide cardstock that is scored, cut, and twisted.

Then stabilizing pieces of cardstock are adding to the front (and back if desired) to keep the twist in place. I found that I liked the two stabilizing pieces better than one, but try one first and see how it works for you.

Finally decorate with Designer Series Paper, sponging, and stamping. For the Designer Series Paper pieces along the sides, I cut each piece separately, but you could cut them as one larger piece to cover the center score line.

The Impossible Card naturally sits up, making a great display piece in your loved ones homes and nursing homes.

The Impossible Card's base is adjustable. You can create any sized card base and simply score it in half on the longer side. Then mark the center point of the longer side and cut up to the center score line. The two tabs can also be adjusted. For ease, I divided the lower portion of the card base into quarters (5-1/2" / 4 = 1-3/8"), but you could also move them so that they are wider or narrower as long as they don't cross the center cut.
