Create a Spooky Owl-oween Treat Box

Your trick-or-treaters are sure to get into the spirit of Halloween with this spooky treat box. This food safe pizza box comes precut, scored, and ready to assemble, and is the perfect size to put a few small or a larger cookie or other sweet morsels inside.

Let's get started. Gather your supplies and cut your cardstock.

2nd Matte (cut 4)	Spooky Night Designer Series Paper	3-1/4” x 5/8”

2nd Top Matte	Spooky Night Designer Series Paper	3” x 3”
Greeting Circle	Very Vanilla	2” x 2”; stamp the Owl-oween image & punch out only the Happy Owl-oween part with a 1” circle punch
Greeting Circle Matte	Basic Black	Punch a 1-1/4” circle

1. Fold and assemble the pizza box. 
2. Adhere the Spooky Night Designer Series Paper mattes to the Basic Black mattes. 
3. Then adhere to the four sides of the pizza box.
4. Adhere the Basic Black matte to the top of the pizza box.
5. Stamp the Owl-oween image and punch out only the Happy Owl-oween part with a 1” circle punch.
6. Cut a 3” square from the tree branch pattern paper out of the Spooky Night Designer Series Paper.
7. Stamp the owl image with Basic Black Archival ink on the tree branch. Stamp the beak and talons with Pumpkin Pie ink on the owl image.
8. Adhere Black Crocheted Trim along the bottom portion of the Spooky Night Designer Series Paper. 
9. Adhere the Spooky Night Designer Series Paper to the Basic Black matte on top of the pizza box.
10. Punch a 1-1/4” circle from Basic Black cardstock.
11. Adhere the Owl-oween circle to the Basic Black circle.
12. Add a dimensional to the back of the Basic Black circle.
13. Adhere the Owl-oween circle to the right corner of the Spooky Night Designer Series Paper on top of the pizza box.

These pizza boxes would also be fa-boo-lous for school parties and teacher gifts.
The 4 sides of the box are all the same length and width, so you can easily swap the Spooky Night Designer Series Paper for another patterned paper or occasion.

Thankful for You!

I created this card for my Holiday Catalog Launch Party Make and Take. This is a design that shows off the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper as well as the Painted Harvest stamp set.
 

 
The entire Painted Harvest Product Suite is my absolute favorite new Holiday Catalog product! All of the Painted Harvest Suite products are so gorgeous, I couldn't simply pick one!

This card also plays with layering and matting border sizes - 1/8" borders and 1/16" borders.  I love how the Early Espresso matte frames and enhances the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper. It really stands out!

I used the Designer Series Paper to create my color palette and then echoed the colors throughout the card for a cohesive look.

On the inside I stamped the sunflower image and added a narrow border of gold washi tape from the Year of Cheer Specialty Washi Tape set. The gold washi tape almost looks like the inside matte has been embossed for an elegant detail.

The sunflower is made from stamping Crushed Curry ink for the largest set of petals, Peekaboo Peach ink for the second set of petals, and Early Espresso ink for the center. The great thing about this sunflower stamp is that no matter which direction you turn each set of petals, it still looks amazing!
