Time for Tea Thank You Favors

I created these tea bag holder envelopes as a thank you favor for my 2018-2019 Annual Catalog Launch Party. I try to match the thank you favors to the theme of my Catalog Launch Parties.

The Tea Room Specialty Designer Series Paper and the Time for Tea Bundle definitely hit the spot! I couldn't decide which patterned paper to use, so I used 4!! I filled each holder with one of my favorite herbal teas - a green tea blend with lemon verbena and spearmint. What a perfect way to end the day!

These tea bag holders are closed with the coordinating Tea Room Ribbon Combo Pack (Item #146893). Don't they look tempting in my Great Grandmother's floral bowl!?!

To make the envelope, first cut a 3-1/2" by 11" piece of cardstock. With the 11" side along the top of the Simply Scored Board, score at 3-1/2", 4", and 7-1/2"

Cut from the top of the 7-1/2" score line down to the rightmost bottom edge of the cardstock. Recycle or save this piece for another project.

Fold and burnish each score line.

Add Tear and Tape Adhesive to the bottom edge of the triangle. Try to get the Tear and Tape Adhesive as close as possible to the bottom edge, so your pocket is large enough to fit the tea bag.

Remove the adhesive backings and fold the triangle toward the center.

Decorate the tea bag holder as desired. If you are using a ribbon to tie the holder closed, be sure to choose if you would like the ribbon underneath the Tea Room Specialty Designer Series Paper or on top. Then layer your embellishments and papers accordingly.

Give this tea bag holder a try! Which tea variety will you put in this darling little envelope?

You can find the measurements and a supply list at the end of this post.

Thanks for stopping by!
