Signs of Santa Pop Up Gift Card Holder

Are you a last minute shopper and not sure what to give the stamper in your life? A gift certificate to Stampin' Up! is a perfect last minute gift! I can issue a gift certificate to your loved one(*restrictions apply). I even wrap the gift certificate in a custom holder!

Here is a pop up gift certificate/card holder that I made for one of my dear friends to give to her friend.

I was inspired by the inside cover of the Holiday Catalog. There is a small gift card holder that looks like a present, so I decided to try to create my own version of it!

Instead of adding a small sentiment label like in the Holiday Catalog, I added a to/from scalloped tag punch tag decorated with washi tape and a fussy cut stocking from the Dashing Along Designer Series Paper pack.

Here is the holder without any decoration on it, so you can see how it will open. Untie the ribbon and lift up the flap to reveal the gift certificate inside.

This size holder will also fit a traditionally-sized gift card. I punched the center flap with the Classic Label Punch to make a channel for the gift certificate/card to nestle into.

The inside top and bottom pieces are decorated with the sweet elf stamp from Signs of Santa and colored in with Stampin' Blends.

Below is the template for the Pop Up Gift Card Holder. Place the Tear and Tape between the 3" and the 4" score lines and then again between the 4" and the 5" score lines. Valley fold all of the score lines except for the 4" score line. Fold the 4" score line like a mountain, sandwiching the Tear and Tape inside the mountain fold. Then punch the center of the mountain fold with the Classic Label Punch. Test your gift card in the punched out area. If your gift card does not fit in the punched out space, punch again with the Classic Label Punch slightly to the left and then slightly to the right of the original punched out area. This will increase the width of the punched out area.

This gift certificate/card holder will fit into a regularly-sized envelope, but, of course, you could make your own envelope using the Envelope Punch Board with coordinating Designer Series Paper!

If you would like to put a belly band around the gift certificate/card holder instead of ribbon, cut a 9-1/4" x 1" piece of cardstock.Wrap the belly band around the center of the holder horizontally and adhere the two ends of the belly band together. You can put the scalloped tag with the stocking on the belly band instead of on the ribbon.

Year-End Closeout Sale Starts Today!

Today starts the Year End Closeout Sale! Retiring products from the 2018 Holiday Catalog and some items from the Annual Catalog (a limited quantity of these items will be available on sale while supplies last) are on sale through January 2nd, 2019! That’s right! This sale lasts through the end of the year and ends after New Year’s! For retiring Holiday Catalog products, including stamps, bundles, thinlits/framelits, tools, and embellishments, this is your last chance to purchase them. Once these products sell out, they are gone for good.

Please review the Holiday Catalog Retiring List carefully. This is a long list and can be confusing, especially if one component of a bundle is retiring and the other is not. For example, the Peaceful Noel stamp set and the Sprig Punch are part of the Peaceful Noel Bundle. The Peaceful Noel stamp set and the Bundle Price are retiring, but the Sprig Punch is not.

I recommend having your Holiday Catalog handy when reviewing the Holiday Catalog Retiring List and mark which items are retiring to help you keep track.

Please keep in mind that all bundle pricing retires after each catalog ends, even if the corresponding stamp set and thinlit set are NOT retiring. For example the Dashing Deer Clear-Mount and Wood-Mount Bundles are retiring, but the individual components - the Dashing Deer stamp set and the thinlit set are carrying over until at least May 31st, 2019. I am so sad to say that the Takeout Treat Bundle (Item #149989 Wood-Mount / Item #149990 Clear-Mount), Takeout Treats stamp set (Item #147861 Wood-Mount / Item #147858 Clear-Mount), and the Takeout Treat Box Thinlits (Item #147927) are all retiring. If I had to choose one Holiday Catalog product to carry over, it would be the Takeout Treat Box Bundle. The Takeout Treat Box is incredibly versatile and can be customized to a multitude of occasions, ages, genders, cartoon characters, advent calendars, color schemes and palettes, spelling out words or sports teams, party favors, and the list could go on! The Takeout Treat Box is not too big or too small; it is just right for holding candy, small toys, jewelry, Advent Calendar treats and messages, small cookies, and even small embellishments. If you love the Takeout Treat Box as much as I do, please order timely as it is close to completely selling out!

There are several products from the Holiday Catalog that will remain available until May 31st (or as supplies last as the end date gets much closer). These remaining or carrying over Holiday Products will be listed in the Holiday Catalog Carryover List and on my online store but not in a full list in the 2019 Occasions Catalog. Some of these Carryover Products could also potentially continue into the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog, but that will not be announced to us until the middle of April 2019. I will certainly pass on that list as it is known to us.

The Stampin' Blends introduced in the Holiday Catalog will carry over as well as the Tin Tile Embossing Folder! 

The Stamparatus Craft and Carry Bag also debuts today! I love mine! It holds my Stamparatus platform, all of my clear plates (4), mini grid paper, my foam pads, a notepad, and a pen! I think it could even hold some templates! The Stamparatus Bag retails for $29 USD. I think that is very reasonably priced for such a great organizational, storage, and travel bag!
