To make the flower pot, start by cutting a 3" by 4" piece of Sahara Sand cardstock. With the 4" side along the bottom of the trimmer or the Simply Scored, score at 1". Fold and burnish the score line. This will be the top or rim of the flower pot.
Lay the Sahara Sand cardstock flat with the flower pot top opened. Mark 1/2" in from the right on the bottom 3" side with a pencil. Mark 1/2" in from the left on the bottom 3" side with a pencil.
Next make the angled cuts to form the flower pot shape. Line up the pencil mark on the right side of the cardstock in the middle of the paper trimmer's track. Keeping the bottom of the cardstock in place, rotate the cardstock so that the right side of the score line is also lined up in the middle of the paper trimmer's track and cut.
Slide the cardstock over and line up the left side of the cardstock in the middle of the paper trimmer's track. Keeping the bottom of the cardstock in place, rotate the cardstock so that the left side score line is also lined up in the middle of the paper trimmer's track and cut.
Then I adhered the flower pot rim down. Next I sponged Sahara Sand ink around the edges of the pot to give it more depth.
I recommend using a liquid glue to adhere the Pinewood Planks embossed cardstock as well as the daisies and the flower pot because the Pinewood Planks embossing folder it not a flat surface but has grooves and bumps. The liquid glue can fill in the spaces for better adhesion and wear.
For the inside of the card, I used the fireworks stamp from Birthday Backgrounds. I used a Real Red and a Blueberry Bushel Stampin' Write Marker to color each firework to get a two-toned look.
