Welcome to Week 4 of the 8 Weeks of Halloween! Today's project features treat envelopes made using the Envelope Punch Board. As you can see from last week's treat totes and today's treat envelopes that the Envelope Punch Board is a very versatile tool to have on hand!
These treat envelopes come together quickly. You can make these in an afternoon for a classroom treat, for coworkers, for family, for community members, and so much more.
Cut a 5" by 5" piece of cardstock or Designer Series Paper. Line up the edge of one side of the cardstock with the 2" line on the Envelope Punch Board. Punch and score.
Rotate the cardstock to 90 degrees, line up the score line you just made with the score guide, punch, and score.
Repeat rotating, lining up the last score line made with the score guide, punching, and scoring for all four sides of the cardstock. This is now your treat envelope base.
Fold and burnish all of the score lines except the top flap.
Fold up the bottom flap. To form the envelope pocket, add strong glue such as Tear & Tape Adhesive or liquid glue to the bottom flap and to the side flaps only where these flaps will overlap. Press the flaps into place. Decorate as desired.
A snack-sized or a fun-sized candy bar will fit nicely. Gummy candy and mint chocolate patties also fit. For a non-candy option, these treat envelopes will hold a gift card.
What have you used your Envelope Punch Board to create? I would love to see what you create! Post a photo of your Envelope Punch Board creations on my Facebook Page today!
You can find the measurements and a supply list at the end of this post.
Thanks for stopping by!
