Sending Healing Thoughts with Nature's Harvest Bundle

Sympathy cards are one of the most challenging cards for me. The loss of a loved one is often one of the most heart breaking times in our lives. I do not want to make light of the situation or cause any further grief, but I want to show how much I care for and support the person who is grieving.

Card decorations and choosing a color palette is difficult for me when designing a card for the loss of a loved one. I feel it should be simple in decoration but tasteful and respectful.

I chose a simple color palette of blues and white to convey a feeling of peace and restfulness and was furthered by the Nature's Harvest greeting stamp.

Below are the measurements and supplies to recreate this Nature's Harvest sympathy card.

Nine Lives Sympathy Card

Pet sympathy cards are some of the most difficult cards for me to make. Our pets are so precious to us that it is almost unfathomable to think about a time when they are no longer with us.

Today's card is a mixture of many different cards that I have seen on the internet plus I added the stitching to the heart die cut and the paw prints on the right side of the stitched heart die cut. My inspiration comes from cards made by Carol Anderson, Barb Inks, and Kimber Kreations.

The inside I designed to be simple, leaving room for a heartfelt message.

I used the Be Me Stitched Framelits to create the stitched heart die cut. I first die cut the stitched heart framelit in the center of a piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock. This stitched heart framelit cuts a negative image into the cardstock, but it does not cut out the actual heart shape. So, I used the next sized larger heart framelit to cut it out. This is the largest scalloped heart framelit. I centered the largest scalloped heart framelit on top of the stitched heart and ran it through the Big Shot Machine. The stitched heart is now separated from the cardstock. There is a scalloped heart outline die cut that you can save for another project.
