My August Paper Pumpkin Kit arrived while I was up visiting my family. Let me tell you! Opening August's Paper Pumpkin project kit when I got home was such a treat! When I saw the paper paper and the embellishments, I was thrilled! The printed vellum leaves and berries capture the colors of fall perfectly! I love the rainbow of leaves too! I instantly wanted a second kit!
Fall is my absolute favorite season. I love the colors of the changing leaves and how the cool, crisp air brings a blanket of coziness to everything! August's Paper Pumpkin Kit absolutely delivers!
August's project kit comes complete with everything you need (minus scissors) to complete 6 gift bags and 6 gift tags. The gift bags are made from a kraft paper with a twisted raffia-like handle. The embellishments are a variety of solid cardstock, printed paper, and printed vellum, making customization easy!

I have just the occasion to make these gift bags and tag for too! In September, I will be attending and presenting at a demonstrator-run retreat. I need four gift bags and tags for each of the prizes I will hand out. What great timing!
The included stamp set is surely a keeper! The greeting stamps and leaves stamp compliment the gift bags, tags, and embellishments instead of competing with them. I am so happy to have more Thanksgiving stamps, especially with "Happy Thanksgiving". I foresee using this stamp set quite a lot!
The included Stampin' ink Spot is Merry Merlot! This is the first time that Paper Pumpkin has included a Merry Merlot Stampin' Spot, so if you haven't used this ink color before, this is a fabulous opportunity to try it out!
Paper Pumpkin creates a video tutorial each month taking you step by step through each project. It is like having a Paper Pumpkin class in the comfort of your own home!
These gift bags and gift tags are gorgeous as is, however, you don't have to stick with the instructions. Branch out and use the included cardstock and embellishments to adorn cards, boxes, and treat holder. Or, even create a bookmark for a loved one going back to school. I will also be sharing some of my alternative project ideas soon!
