This past weekend, my mom and I tried making Pyramid Cards (also called Teepee Cards). I have seen them all over the internet and thought they were so complicated to make that my mom and I set aside a whole morning to figure this fun fold out.
Boy, we were wrong! The Pyramid Card is not only very simple to make, but the card base has no difficult cuts, no intricate shapes, and no fuss. You adhere 3 squares together to form the card base! Wow! Mind blown!
Then you can attach a hook and loop closure, a small magnet, or cut a slit in the cardstock to form and to hold the pyramid shape.
To decorate the outside of the card base, I made a layered scalloped heart embellishment using the Heartfelt stamp set and punch bundle. I stamped the heart image with Real Red ink onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock and punched it out using the smaller heart punch from the Heart Punch Pack. Next, I punched a silver glimmer paper scalloped heart using the scalloped heart punch in the Heart Punch Pack and adhered the two hearts together.
I wove some Real Red Double-Stitched Satin Ribbon back and forth across the back of the hearts, attaching at each turn with a glue dot ®. I underestimated how much ribbon I would need, so I cut a second piece and attached it to the end of the first ribbon piece. No worries.
I cut a 3-3/4" square piece of Whisper White cardstock in half diagonally and adhered one half of it to the inside of the card base to write a special message, but you could also choose one of the outside panels to write a special message on.
