Monday's Mystery Stamping was a big hit! I sent every attendee the same measurements and supply list to gather their supplies and cut their papers before the event. Then during the event I gave oral only directions on how to put the card together and didn't show my sample card until the end.
I created a simple card layout that didn't have a lot of pieces. This is one of the layouts that I had in designed for my Second Sunday Sketches, but it was a little too similar to sketch #6. However, it is perfect for mystery stamping!
This is a simple layout is the foundation for your creativity. It can be jazzed up with some rhinestones, a bit of ribbon, and more! Or, rearrange the pieces for an entirely new look.
Even though all attendees had the same measurements and types of supplies, we all chose something different. No two color palettes were alike. No attendee chose the same stamp sets. No one made the same layout. It was wonderful!
I love the inspiration that mystery stamping provides. You see the same card in an entirely new way!
I used the Art Gallery Stamp and Die Bundle to create a birthday card and a thank you card. There are so many beautiful ink color combinations that you can create with Art Gallery! I stamped the solid flower image with Flirty Flamingo ink stamped off and the detailed flower image with full strength Poppy Parade. Poppy Parade has, unexpectedly and repeatedly, been one of my favorite colors for these flowers! The burst of bright red is so cheery and refreshing!
I would love to hear what your favorite ink color combinations are. Leave me a comment below with your favorite ink color combinations!
Thanks for stopping by!
