Today’s card features five 1” strips of Designer Series Paper as the focal point. I have recently seen this layout all over Pinterest and realized that I didn’t have to choose only one patterned paper! I could choose five!
Start by adhering five 1" x 3-3/4" strips of Designer Series Paper to the center of a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of cardstock.
Wrap a 6” piece of Rich Razzleberry ribbon around the front of the Designer Series Paper mat and adhere the ribbon ends to the back. Adhere this to the center of the card base front.
Stamp a scrap of Whisper White cardstock with the “I am so glad we are friends” sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and die cut with the second largest stitched oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits.
Die cut the coordinating scalloped oval framelit from the Layering Oval Framelits. Adhere the stitched oval die cut to the center of the scalloped oval.
Then add dimensionals to the back of the scalloped oval die cut. Place the dimensionals along the top of and the bottom of the scalloped oval die cut and away from where the ribbon will lay underneath the die cut to avoid bumps. Adhere the sentiment to the card front on the left side of the Designer Series Paper sampler, so that the sentiment is centered with the ribbon.
I decorated the inside of the card with one of the floral stamps using Grapefruit Grove ink and left the remainder blank to write a special message.
The Share What You Love Designer Series Paper is bright, cheery, and perfect for ushering in spring! These patterns remind me of planting the annuals in my flower and herb garden each spring and the joy they bring me all season long. The whimsical sketches of flowers and leaves are my style! If I were to design patterned paper, it would look very similar to Share What You Love. The second and third patterns on the second row of the Designer Series Paper graphic below are my absolute favorites!
Of course, I couldn’t make just one card!So far, I have made three variations of this card. I can’t wait to make more and to send these to my friends to show them how special they are to me!
