I love participating in these swaps. They are a great way to see new ideas, to see how each person interprets the monthly topic, and to refresh and renew your creativity, especially after a lull.
This month's theme was thinking of you, sympathy, and get well cards. I chose to use the Basket of Wishes stamp set expressing thinking of you.
Basket of Wishes has become a favorite of mine since it was introduced in the 2017 Holiday Catalog. I am so thrilled it will be carrying over into the 2017-2018 Annual Catalog!
This stamp set has baskets and basket fillers to mix and match, making it perfect for all four seasons. I used the bushel basket stamp and the pumpkin filler stamp for many fall and Thanksgiving projects and classes. This is a favorite with many of my customers too. I'm excited to create spring and summer projects with the succulent and the strawberry stamps!
The fun fold is called a Peekaboo Fold. It really highlights the basket image! Here's how to make it.
First, cut a 5-1/2" by 7-3/4" piece of Sweet Sugarplum cardstock. Line up the 7-3/4" side to the top of your score board (or trimmer) and score at 1-3/4" and at 6".
Then cut the front panel and the inside pieces. Cut two 5-1/4" by 1-1/2" pieces of Tip Top Taupe. Cut two 5" by 1-1/4" pieces of Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper. Cut one inside mat. Cut one basket circle and one basket circle mat.

Adhere the Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper mat to the Tip Top Taupe mats. Then adhere one completed mat to the top front panel and one completed mat to the bottom front panel.
To line up your sentiment, place your inside mat inside the card base. Don't adhere yet. Close both panels to reveal the peekaboo area. Stamp your sentiment toward the left side of the peekaboo area. Apply a piece of Pear Pizzazz washi tape across the bottom. Adhere to the inside of your card base.
Stamp the basket and succulent stamps on the stitched circle. Use Blender Pens to color in the basket and succulents. The main color of the basket is Tip Top Taupe, echoing the front panel and the Designer Series Paper. The secondary color in the vertical, woven pieces is Crumb Cake.
The succulents in the basket are Sweet Sugarplum, Mint Macaron, Pear Pizzazz, and Old Olive. The above photograph shows Rich Razzleberry. I accidentally used the wrong marker and photographed the wrong card. The rest of the cards are really, truly Sweet Sugarplum. This is what happens when you make swap cards in a hurry!
Adhere the stitched circle to the Tip Top Taupe scalloped circle. Apply adhesive on the back of the top third of the scalloped circle and adhere to the right side of the top front panel, so that the scalloped circle is centered over the top and bottom front panels.
This sweet fun fold card can be adapted to any occasion and color scheme. How would you embellish your Peekaboo Fun Fold card? I would love to see what you make!
I appreciate you stopping by!
