Just for You Blueberry Crate

I have the best stylist! Since I have started going to this salon, I have gotten to know her as a friend. She is a fantastic stylist, mom, cook, and makeup artist. I look forward to my appointments and make little treat holders to show my appreciation.

Today I brought a Lemon Lime Twist Wooden Crate filled with white chocolate and blueberry cream truffles. I also added a chocolate foil lady bug because he was just too cute with the daisy! The front of the crate is adorned with a daisy sponged in the center with Daffodil Delight ink and an oval greeting tag.

I layered the oval tag with the Night of Navy and Whisper White polka dot patterned paper from the Tutti-Frutti Designer Series Paper pack for a small burst of color.

The “Just for you” greeting could easily be swapped for another greeting such as Happy Mother’s Day, thank you, or even a greeting for a birthday party favor. There are many greetings to choose from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set, which sadly is retiring. I cannot believe Teeny Tiny Wishes is retiring! It had been such a staple in the catalog for many years! If I were to recommend one thing to get before it retires, it would be the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. This is my go to greeting stamp set, for sure!

An Irish Blessing

I CASED this Barn Door card from the 2018 Occasions Catalog. It is simply darling!

The Barn Door Bundle was at the top of my must have list of all of the 2018 Occasions Catalog products! I love the sliding barn door and all of the stamps!

I especially like the Irish Blessing stamps - "May your troubles be less and your blessings be more. And let nothing but happiness come through your door."  This is the same blessing I used inside my St. Patrick's Day cards last year except I typed it on my computer and printed onto cardstock. Love it!

For the sliding mechanism, I used Hillman SAE 6 washers from my local hardware store.

Instead of creating a flat one sided card, I adhered the barn door to a 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" (scored at 4-1/4") card base and added the "Happy St. Patrick's Day" image from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

This clever card uses the wreath framelit three ways - once to cut out the entire wreath from Wild Wasabi cardstock, once to cut the trio of flowers, and once to cut each individual flower. Talk about triple duty and versatility!

Valentine Pinwheels

I absolutely loved Julie DiMatteo's Thanksgiving Pinwheel Treat Holder so much that I had to create my own version for Valentine's Day! I followed her measurements but changed the Designer Series Paper, stamp, and colors. I used the Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper and Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper as the pinwheel treat holder bases.

For the inside I used the love image from Labels to Love on Whisper White cardstock with Rose Red ink and layered it on top of a Blushing Bride 1-3/4" circle.

 Inside is a Dove chocolate heart. Yum!

I then made more pinwheel treat holders using the Berry Burst, Fresh Fig, and Powder Pink patterned paper from Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper. When I was finished, the treat holder looked like it was missing the Valentine's theme on the outside. So, I decided to add a tag to the top of the treat holder.

The tag is a 1-1/2" Whisper White cardstock circle stamped with the lined heart image from Heart Happiness layered on a 1-3/4" cardstock circle. Happy Valentine's Day is stamped with the corresponding base color and punched out with the Classic Label Punch.

Inside the treat holder is stamped the love image in Berry Burst ink, Powder Pink ink, and Fresh Fig ink, respectively.

The tag is adhered to the base with a dimensional cut in half on opposite sides of the center of the base. The dimensional is off center to avoid direct contact with the chocolate wrapper.

These treat holders are really cute! I know everyone will enjoy them too!
