A Trio of Easter Treats

These sweet, little chocolate bunny treat holders, CASED from fellow demonstrator Melanie Igelbrink, make the perfect last minute Easter gift.

Craft with Beth: Chocolate Lindt Bunny Lamb Duck Chick Treat Holder Scalloped Tag Topper Punch template

First, cut a 2-3/16" by 5-3/4" piece of Whisper White cardstock.

Stamp the entire piece with the honeycomb stamp from the Butterfly Basics stamp set in the color of your choice. Here I used Pink Pirouette, Daffodil Delight, and Pool Party ink. Stamping the background now will make a solidly stamped background without gaps from the score lines.

Then, using your Stampin' Trimmer, score at 2-15/16", 3-15/16", 4-5/16", and 5-5/16".

Then stamp the fern and flower stamps three times. I used Old Olive and Melon Mambo ink, respectively. I stamped these images after scoring, so I could place them more precisely.

Next punch the end closest to the 2-15/16" score line with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. This area will become the treat holder backing.

Place the smallest Layering Oval Framelit between the 4-5/16" and the 5-5/16" score lines and run it through the Big Shot. This will create the little niche for the bunny to sit.

Flip the treat holder to the back side. Stamp Happy Easter upside down between the 3-15/16" and the 4-5/16" score lines.

Burnish all score lines. Add Teat & Tape or strong liquid glue to the back of the rectangle area below the 5-5/16" score line. Fold the score lines upwards, bring them back toward the treat holder backing, and adhere the 5-5/16" score line rectangle area to the 2-15/16" score line, as below in the photograph.

Place a glue dot in the center of the top scallop on the front and on the back. Cut a 6" length of ribbon, fold in half, and thread through the hole at the top of the tag.

Press the ribbon against the tag to secure in place. Tie a Whisper White baker's twine bow around the ribbon for added decoration.

Add a few glue dots to the bottom of your chocolate bunny and place inside the little niche.

Add a Melon Mabo flower and a rhinestone next to your bunny. The flower I used is retired, but the flower from the Tree Builder punch is an excellent substitution.

Your Easter treat is ready for giving! What a cutie! I hope you give this adorable treat holder a try! I would love to see what you make!

The Catalog Kick Off Party was a great success! Thanks everyone for a wonderful afternoon of good friends, stamping, games, and food! I am so glad everyone had a great time!

The 2016-2017 Annual Catalog is awesome! The In Colors remind me of summertime and drinks by the pool! The llama is too stinking cute!

We had tons of amazing food! The cannoli dip was so delicious, it disappeared almost instantly! Yum!

The scavenger hunt was a big hit! We liked it so much that I am adding a game night to my events calendar. Congratulations again to Tracy for winning the big prize - the Wild About Flowers stamp set!

Our Make and Takes came out so nicely! This is a quick birthday card for girls or boys.

I got my inspiration for this birthday balloon card from a social media group. The balloon grouping is the same. However, I changed the background color, the matting, and the greeting. Each person had a different In Color card base. I made up the inside of the card.

Our In Color bookmarks turned out awesomely as well! I love how each one is different! It was great to see how much everyone liked the new In Colors. I saw this cutey on the same social media group.

I can't wait for the Holiday Catalog to come out, so we can have another Catalog Kick Off Party!

Birthday Baker's Box

One of my goals this year is to become better at gift packaging. I can do it, but I am not consistent. Sometimes, I make a plain box and tie a plain ribbon around it. Sometimes, I go all out with bows, embossing, and stamps. Other times, there is no decoration at all, not even a ribbon. Yikes! This year I am determined to make a serious effort!

My sister-in-law's birthday is in February. What a great opportunity to work on my goal! I bought her a small heart shaped necklace. Shhh...Don't tell! The Baker's Box Thinlits are perfect for smaller presents!

I used Very Vanilla cardstock as a base. Instead of cutting the handle, I used a clothespin to keep the top closed. Then I layered stamps from the Butterfly Basics stamp set on all sides. For the flower image, I used Stampin' Write Markers in Melon Mambo and Old Olive instead of an ink pad to get a two color image. It is difficult to tell from the photo, but I also added some Clear Wink of Stella to the flower petals. The leaves on the sides are stamped with Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive.

Finally, I attached a cute birthday sentiment tag and a bow. I stamped the sentiment in Soft Suede on Very Vanilla cardstock. Venetian Crochet Trim peaks out from underneath the sentiment. A Very Vintage Button echoes the style of the crochet trim and adds more dimension. A length of Burlap Ribbon with banner tails completes the tag.

The bow is made of Tip Top Taupe Dotted Lace Trim. I absolutely adore the 2015-2017 In Colors Dotted Lace Trim! It would also look fantastic as a border on card fronts.

I think this gift packaging is a success!

UPDATE: I added a few pearls and some antennae to the butterfly
