Please, note that not all products are being offered with a discount and take your time reading through the Last Chance Product List. Some products may have one component retiring but not both. For example, the #159626 Kindest Gnome Bundle is retiring, the #159616 Kindest Gnome stamp set is retiring, but the #159625 Gnome Dies are carrying over.

The list is long and in tiny print. I recommend downloading the Excel version. Open the file. Change the orientation to landscape. Increase the font size to a more comfortable reading size. Then print the list.

Please, note that the majority of the products on the Carry Over Product List are carrying over into the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog. However, there were a few last minute additions to the Carry Over Product List that did not make it in time to be included in the printed annual catalog. So, these products are marked with an asterisk and are available in the online store.

Mark Your Catalogs

The retiring product list is long! To help me organize it in my mind better, I physically go through my July-December Mini Catalog and write an R for retiring or a CO for carrying over by each product in the catalog.

Make Your To Order List

As I go through and mark my catalog, I also make a note of anything that I would like to purchase before it retires. I write down the item number and product name on my To Order List.

Place Your Order Timely

Once you have your To Order List ready, go to my online shop and place your order. I recommend placing your order sooner rather than later to avoid missing out on your favorite retiring products.

At the time this blog post was written almost 10 products have already sold out and are no longer available for purchase. I am bummed out about the witch hat builder punch being sold out!

The quickest way to see if your favorite retiring product is still in stock is to check my online store. Search for your product by item number or be product name. If it is listed in the online store, it is in stock or if there is a message below the product photograph that says something like temporarily unavailable or will be back soon, it has not sold out. If your product is not listed in the online store at all, then that product is sold out and no longer available for purchase.

Retiring Product List Tips

• The best way for me to keep track of which products are retiring and which are not retiring is to go through the Retiring Product List line by line and mark it in my 2021-2022 Annual Catalog. I mark an "R" for retiring and a "CO" for carrying over by each product.
  
• Take your time reading each product line. There is a lot of information jammed packed into one tiny chart!
• Print an enlarged copy of the Retiring Product List. The font is super teeny tiny. I printed my list from Adobe Reader and enlarged it to 110% on my print options menu before pressing print.

I am surprised that quite a few of my favorite products made it to the retiring list! The tag topper punches, the metallic pearls, the Sweet Strawberry stamp set and punch, and the bark 3D embossing folder are what come to the top of my list right away. 

I am currently working on a few Easter projects for my family and need more metallic pearls to complete them. I am definitely putting #146282 Metallic Pearls on my To Order List right now!

Whisper White is Retiring. What does this mean for us?

What happened?

Stampin' Up! announced today that, sadly, Whisper White is retiring. Whisper White cardstock, Thick Whisper White cardstock, and Whisper White Medium Envelopes are every day staples in our craft room. Unfortunately, the paper mill that produces the Whisper White cardstock, note cards, and envelopes has permanently closed because of the COVD-19 pandemic. When I read the announcement, my heart saddened for a craft room staple but mostly for the paper mill closing and the loss of livelihoods.

Stampin' Up! has very little notice that the paper mill was closing, and the unique technology that this paper mill used is no longer available to produce the Whisper White cardstock and related products. There was no way to replenish the stock of Whisper White products.

Stampin' Up! jumped right in and worked hard to find a new supplier that can produce the best cardstock, note card, and envelope to replace Whisper White. They tested each of the replacement products thoroughly! Stampin' Up! is confident in the quality of the new white cardstock, notecards, and envelopes.

The name of the white cardstock and related products will transition to a new name - Basic White. 

What does that mean right now?

With Whisper White going out of production, a number of products will be affected. Below is a list of Whisper White products that will be going out of production and stock will not be replenished once it sells out.

• #140272 Whisper White 8-1/2" x 11" Thick Cardstock, page 153, $8.25, limit of 2 per order

In the meantime, Whisper White products are still available while supplies last. In order to make sure that everyone has the chance to purchase the Whisper White products that they need before they sell out and before the new Basic White products are available, Stampin' Up! is limiting the purchase of these items to 2 per item per order.

What does that mean in the near future?

Basic White products are coming to the Stampin' Up! warehouse. There hasn't been a date announced yet.  All of the Whisper White products listed above will be available in the new Basic White as soon as they are in stock. The new Basic White products, item numbers, and prices are:

• #159276 Basic White 8-1/2" x 11" Cardstock, $9.75
• #159229 Basic White 8-1/2" x 11" Thick Cardstock, $8.25
• #159231 Basic White 12" x 12" Cardstock, $7.75

• It very is possible that some Whisper White products may sell out before the new Basic White equivalents are available. 
• There may be a period where both Whisper White and Basic White products are available.
• There may be a period where no Whisper White or Basic White products are available. Stampin' Up! is working hard to lessen this potential and the gap between product changes.
  
• This change only affects Whisper White cardstock and related Whisper White products. It doesn't have an affect on any other cardstock or related product.

 

Below is a video from Stampin' Up! sharing the new Basic White cardstock. The video does not confirm that the GSM of the cardstock. I am hoping that we will find out more information as the new Basic White products become available.

 

Basic White products are not listed in the PRINTED versions of the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog and in the 2021 January-June Mini Catalog. They will be listed on Stampin' Up!'s online store. Below are graphic links to the Basic White product information to print as a reference guide while these products are not listed in a printed catalog. 

The graphic on the left has a blue-green background, and the graphic on the right has no background color. The information is the same on both flyers. The one on the right uses less printer ink.

 

I feel confident that Stampin' Up! is doing their best job trying to provide quality stamping and papercrafting products to us. The Retiring Lists Are Now Available!

The Retiring Product List for the 2018-2019 Annual and 2019 Occasions Catalogs are now available! These lists contain the products that are being discontinued and will not be carried over into the new 2019-2020 Annual Catalog.

The Retiring Product Lists are long and can be overwhelming. Please read through the lists carefully and note the left most column will indicate if the retiring product is a stamp set, a die set, a tool, an embellishment, or a bundle.

The items highlighted in gray are stamps that are currently offered in clear-mount and in wood-mount that will carry over into the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog as cling-mount stamps. The highlighted stamps are carrying over, but the stamp style will change.

Keep in mind that all bundle pricing retires even if the individual products that make up the bundle are not retiring. For example, the Broadway Birthday Bundle is retiring, but the Broadway Birthday stamp set and the Broadway Lights Framelits are not retiring.

The lists are quite long for these catalogs! I am saddened to see so many amazing stamps, tools, embellishments, and patterned papers retire! I cannot believe I am saying this but Lovely as a Tree is retiring! Lovely as a Tree is our longest running stamp set! It has been in the catalog for about 15 years. It is a must have for masculine cards and projects! If you don't have this stamp set, please don't delay and order it today before it sells out!

There are so many products that I wish were not on the Retiring Product Lists, especially the Envelope Punch Board, the Large Letters Framelits, the Paper Piercing Tool, the Fox Builder Punch, the Happy Birthday Thinlit, and the Garden Trellis Embossing Folder!
