Welcome to Week 5 of the 8 Weeks of Halloween! Today's project features box in a bag treat holders. The foundation of the treat holder is an open-topped box. To finish the treat holder, a piece of Designer Series Paper is wrapped around the box, forming a bag.
These cuties are made the same way I made the Party Panda Box in a Bag Treat Holders. They come together quickly and are economical. Eight Designer Series Paper pieces can be cut from one 12" x 12" sheet of Designer Series Paper. Twenty treat holder bases can be cut from one 8-1/2" x 11" sheet of cardstock.
This Basic Black Shimmer Ribbon can be found in the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog. There are some great Annual Catalog embellishments that coordinate with Halloween. Be sure to check out the embellishments on page 197 of the Annual Catalog.
The polka dots on this Designer Series Paper look like little bubbles coming from the cauldron. Cute!
This broom patterned paper treat holder is slightly taller than the other treat holders because I wanted to maintain the striped broom pattern. The cat is die cut from the Toil and Trouble Designer Series Paper. The small broom he is riding on is fussy cut from the Toil and Trouble Designer Series Paper.
The 3/16" Braided Linen Thread mimics the straw at the end of the broom.
Pumpkins are so iconic for Halloween and fall! I used Early Espresso, Garden Green, and Pumpkin Pie markers directly on the greeting to create a striped effect.
