We made this sweet Easter basket at my Easter treats class. This is a combination of the treat holders from Amy Koenders and Maria Kandylas and my twist. It holds a Ferroro Rocher hazelnut chocolate. Yum!
Cut a 3-1/2" by 3-1/2" piece of Tip Top Taupe cardstock. Place the cardstock on your Score Board and score at 1-1/8".
Rotate the cardstock 90 degrees and score again at 1-1/8".
Rotate and score for all 4 sides.
Cut and notch two opposite sides - either the left and right or the top and bottom. Cut along the score line from the edge to the center. Then cut at an angle on each side of each tab.
Place glue on each tab, fold up the sides, and adhere together to form the box.
Cut two basket handles and two woven baskets from Tip Top Taupe cardstock. Adhere the basket handle to the back of the woven basket. Attach one basket to the front of the box and one basket to the back of the box.
Stamp and cut six flowers with Daffodil Delight ink on Daffodil Delight cardstock. Attach 3 flowers to each side of the box with glue dots. Add a large pearl to the center of each flower.
Stamp and cut 10 leaves in Pear Pizzazz ink on Pear Pizzazz cardstock. Attach 5 leaves to each side of the box with liquid glue.
Stamp and cut 2 bows in with Flirty Flamingo ink in Flirty Flamingo cardstock. Attach 1 bow to each handle.
These darling treat holders are fantastic not only for Easter baskets. They would be great at a place setting for Easter dinner or any meal and for a thank you. You could even add a little banner with the thanks a bunch stamped image!
How would you decorate your basket? I would love to see what you make!
Thanks for stopping by!
