Fall is my favorite season! I love the crisp autumn air, the cozy sweaters, and the crackle of the leaves underfoot! The Basket of Wishes stamp set invokes all of these memories and feelings!
Here is another Thanksgiving card with similar materials to Friday's post. It is fun to try the same materials but in a different arrangement! It's almost like being on Chopped but without being sent home!
The Blender Pens are used again to color in the vegetables and the basket. I used Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, Garden Green, Always Artichoke, and Pumpkin Pie.
I stamped the sentiment and three little pumpkins on the inside. You can substitute another sentiment on the inside, such as one from Suite Seasons or leave it blank for a hand written sentiment.
But, that's not all you can use Basket of Wishes for! There are two more baskets, more sentiments, and more goodies to fill the basket with. I look forward to creating even more Basket of Wishes projects!
How would you rearrange this layout? What colors would you use? I would love to see what you make!

Thanksgiving Basket of Wishes
I can also see the baskets to hold little balls of yarn made from Baker's Twine. How about putting a few of the smallest sock image from Hang Your Stocking to make it a laundry basket?!
Here I used the pumpkins and gourds image to make a Thanksgiving card. I stamped the basket image first onto Very Vanilla cardstock and then the pumpkins and gourds image on top. Because these stamps are photopolymer, it was very easy to align them! I did not even use a mask!
I colored the basket and vegetables using the Blender Pen and ink pads for a softer look. The ink colors are Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, Garden Green, Soft Suede, and Crumb Cake.
I stamped Happy Thanksgiving with Early Espresso ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock. I punched it out with the Word Window Punch. This punch is now retired. However, I recommend using the new Classic Label Punch. I do not have the Classic Label Punch yet. It is on my list, for sure!
The inside of the card has my favorite sentiment from Basket of Wishes. It truly expresses my gratitude for all of my loved ones!

Vintage Leaves Thanksgiving
Here is another way to use the emboss resist technique as an embellishment instead of the background.
The maple leaf is embossed with copper embossing powder, sponged with Daffodil Delight and Cajun Craze, and die cut.
I really like how the two colors blend together to create little hints of orange.
The leaf is framed with two Layering Squares Framelits. It is simple and truly lets the maple leaf shine!
The inside is stamped with the Happy Thanksgiving sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Early Espresso ink and another leaf from Vintage Leaves in Always Artichoke ink.
I gave myself a challenge to use a few tools, a few stamp sets, and a fall color palette to see how I could create a variety of arrangements. So, you will be seeing this elements of this layout in a few more cards!

Technique Tuesday: Emboss Resist Three Ways
This is one of the cards we are making in today's Technique Tuesday
class. Today's class focuses on the emboss resist technique. This is one
of my favorite techniques. I think this is a perfect way to combine
fall colors!
There are many ways to emboss resist. Today I focused on three - sponging, ink refills, and stamping. All three use heat embossing to create the resist but give very different results. Sponging creates depth and melding.
Ink refills can be more vivid and more like a water color painting. Stamping can protect the underlying colors while filling in the background.
If you would like to learn how to make these cards and more, please sign up for my next Technique Tuesday class or schedule a private lesson today.

Thoughtful Branches Thanksgiving
The ingenuity of the Thoughtful Branches Stamp Set and Thinlit Bundle is truly astounding! Here is a sweet, seasonal Thanksgiving card.
Here I used the flower head/tree top die to create a pumpkin! I die cut two flower head/tree tops. I glued one right side up and the other upside down to create more fullness to the pumpkin. It looks fantastic with just one though!
The tree trunk turned upside becomes a stem! How clever!
Background stamp Hardwood is stamped directly on the 8-1/2" by 5-1/2" card base with Early Espresso ink. This is my favorite background stamp. It is also perfect for fall accents!
The Early Espresso layer measures 3-7/8" by 5-1/8". The Very Vanilla layer measures 3-3/4" by 5".
The inside has the sentiment from the upcoming Basket of Wishes stamp set. You are going to love this stamp set! It is perfect for fall holidays and occasions! Basket of Wishes is also a photopolymer two-step stamp set. You can mix and match baskets with all kinds of embellishments, including flowers and pumpkins!
There are a few days left to purchase the Thoughtful Branches Bundle! This is an incredibly versatile stamp set and thinlit set. You can make hedgehogs, coral reefs, forests, hydrangeas, leaves, pumpkins, wreathes, backgrounds, Christmas trees, sympathy cards, thank you cards, birthday cards, Fall cards, and so much more. Woo! I'm exhausted just saying all that!
Thought Branches will be gone August 31st, 2016 or while supplies last. Don't miss this stunning bundle!
