The Cutest Baby Shower Favors!

My mom's friend's daughter is having a baby! Her friend asked her if she would make the favors for the baby shower. My Mom made the cutest baby shower favors using the Curvy Keepsake Thinlits and the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp and punch set.

My mom created a multitude of favors in all different colors - Sweet Sugarplum, Mint Macaron, Peekaboo Peach, So Saffron, Tempting Turquoise, Emerald Envy, Soft Sky, Flirty Flamingo, and Melon Mambo! Gorgeous!

 
The ladies at the baby shower raved over these darling favors! Way to go, Mom! I enjoy sharing the projects that my mom creates! She is a fantastic stamper and papercrafter! I am so grateful to spend time with and share stamping with my mom!

Thanksgiving Basket of Wishes

I am really loving the new Basket of Wishes stamp set from the 2016-2017 Holiday Catalog! I love the versatility. This is a great stamp set for anytime of the year. You can also customize each basket! You can mix and match flowers, strawberries, pumpkins, and succulents with three different baskets.

I can also see the baskets to hold little balls of yarn made from Baker's Twine. How about putting a few of the smallest sock image from Hang Your Stocking to make it a laundry basket?!

Here I used the pumpkins and gourds image to make a Thanksgiving card. I stamped the basket image first onto Very Vanilla cardstock and then the pumpkins and gourds image on top. Because these stamps are photopolymer, it was very easy to align them! I did not even use a mask!

I colored the basket and vegetables using the Blender Pen and ink pads for a softer look. The ink colors are Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, Garden Green, Soft Suede, and Crumb Cake.

I stamped Happy Thanksgiving with Early Espresso ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock. I punched it out with the Word Window Punch. This punch is now retired. However, I recommend using the new Classic Label Punch. I do not have the Classic Label Punch yet. It is on my list, for sure!

The inside of the card has my favorite sentiment from Basket of Wishes. It truly expresses my gratitude for all of my loved ones!

Vintage Leaves Thanksgiving

Here is another way to use the emboss resist technique as an embellishment instead of the background.

The maple leaf is embossed with copper embossing powder, sponged with Daffodil Delight and Cajun Craze, and die cut.

I really like how the two colors blend together to create little hints of orange.

The leaf is framed with two Layering Squares Framelits. It is simple and truly lets the maple leaf shine!

The inside is stamped with the Happy Thanksgiving sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Early Espresso ink and another leaf from Vintage Leaves in Always Artichoke ink.

I gave myself a challenge to use a few tools, a few stamp sets, and a fall color palette to see how I could create a variety of arrangements. So, you will be seeing this elements of this layout in a few more cards!

Paper Pumpkin July 2016 What a Gem Alternative Project #2

For the second alternative project I designed a birthday card using only the What a Gem stamp set. I created a two tone look with Whisper White and Flirty Flamingo. I added Dapper Denim to join the two colors.

For my first attempt I stamped the diamond image all over a 5-3/8" by 4-1/8" piece of Whisper White in Soft Sky ink. I filled in each diamond with clear Wink of Stella. I thought the effect was pretty but the sparkle overwhelmed the Soft Sky ink. It was difficult to see the detail of the diamond image through the glitter.

For my second attempts I stamped the diamond image in Pool Party ink. I didn't add the Wink of Stella. The effect is still very pretty. I may go back to add some Wink of Stella on a few diamonds. Ha! Who am I kidding?!? I'm going to add it to all of the diamonds! What did we do before Wink of Stella?

To create the Flirty Flamingo layer, cut a 5-3/8" by 4-1/8" piece of Flirty Flamingo. Make a mark 1" up from the lower left corner. Make a mark 1" down from the upper right corner. Line your marks along the trimmer track and cut. This will give you two identical pieces. Emboss each piece with the Elegant Dots TIEF. Don't worry about the marks showing because the ribbon will cover them.

The inside of the card has the "have a brilliant birthday" sentiment. I really like the cursive, bold font!

The two rows of diamonds are stamped with Soft Sky and Pool Party ink pads.

I think this card would look stunning in Emerald Envy and Elegant Eggplant. What other colors would you use? I would love to see what you make!
