The Cutest Baby Shower Favors!

My mom's friend's daughter is having a baby! Her friend asked her if she would make the favors for the baby shower. My Mom made the cutest baby shower favors using the Curvy Keepsake Thinlits and the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp and punch set.

My mom created a multitude of favors in all different colors - Sweet Sugarplum, Mint Macaron, Peekaboo Peach, So Saffron, Tempting Turquoise, Emerald Envy, Soft Sky, Flirty Flamingo, and Melon Mambo! Gorgeous!

 
The ladies at the baby shower raved over these darling favors! Way to go, Mom! I enjoy sharing the projects that my mom creates! She is a fantastic stamper and papercrafter! I am so grateful to spend time with and share stamping with my mom!

Sadly, the Curvy Keepsake Thinlits are retiring at the end of May. I think these may the perfect sized favors and gifts! Be sure to purchase the Curvy Keepsake Thinlits before they are gone!

Sneak Peek: Daisy Delight

Here is an elegant, floral card using the soon to be released Daisy Delight Bundle (#145361). My friend and fellow demonstrator Beth Steele showed me how to make this sweet thinking of you card. She modeled her card on a card she saw at On Stage.

I love how the new Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper delicately accents the banner greeting!

I don't have my pre-order just yet, but as soon as I do, I will have to show you all of the designs featured in this gorgeous paper pack! I think Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper may be my new favorite Designer Series Paper!

The Daffodil Delight ribbon peeking over the Designer Series Paper is the new 1/4" Double Stitched Ribbon. It is so sweet and charming!

The greetings come from the Sitting Here stamp set, another adorable stamp set featuring a porch swing and cute little pets.

Check out this double layered daisy! I stamped, punched, and glued two daisy images. In the center I placed a gold faceted gem (#144141). Doesn't it look just like a real flower center?!

When I first saw the 2017-2018 Annual Catalog, the Daisy Delight Bundle went immediately to the top of my must have list! In fact, Daisy Delight is also July's Stamp of the Month!

Sweet Solitary Succulent

This sweet, solitary succulent looks so realistic! It is made using the Succulent Framelits, ink, and sponge daubers!

I die cut 2 medium layers, 1 small layer, and 1 tiny layer from Pear Pizzazz cardstock. Then I sponged each layer with Pear Pizzazz and Always Artichoke ink to create depth.

I worked on the inside of the layers first. I sponged the ends of the leaves with Pear Pizzazz ink using a sponge dauber. A sponge dauber gave me more control in a smaller area and less texture than a yellow sponge.

Then I sponged a heavy layer of Always Artichoke ink around the edges.

Finally, I daubed Whisper White Craft ink in the center of the tiny and the small layers.

Once all of the layers were dry, I repeated the Pear Pizzazz and Always Artichoke sponging on the outside of the layers since both sides of the succulent would be visible in the jar.

I let the layers dry for a few moments before carefully, burnishing the leaves with the bone folder and adhering the layers together. I next held the succulent in my palm and slightly crumbled the layers, so that they would hold their shape even more.

Lastly, I placed the succulent inside the jar. I bought this jar already filled with the faux dirt on clearance at a local craft store, but you could also fill a small jar with potting soil (or other dirt that has been sterilized).
