The Purrfect Valentine Treat Holder

I drew my inspiration for this next treat holder from BJ Peters. She created a Halloween Cat Punch treat holder that was so adorable, I had to create one myself!

Craft with Beth: Cat Punch Valentine's Day St Saint Treat Holder Stampin Up Painted with Love DSP Simply Scored Scoring Tool Scoreboard Hershey Kiss Treat Holder

I used the Painted with Love Designer Series Paper pack as the base of my treat holder. The cat is adorned with a Calypso Coral Ombre Ribbon bow and a gold enamel heart.

Start by punching two cats out of Painted with Love Designer Series Paper. I chose the small heart pattern, but all of the patterns in this paper pack would be gorgeous! Make sure to punch one cat with your chosen pattern facing you and one cat with your chosen pattern facing AWAY from you. That way your chosen pattern is facing outwards on both sides of the treat holder.

Essentially, you are creating a mirror image with the Cat Punch.

Then cut a 2-1/2" x 3/4" piece of Painted with Love Designer Series Paper. With the 2-1/2" side along the top of the Simply Scored Scoring Tool at 3/4" and at 1-3/4". Burnish all of the score lines. This piece will connect the two cats and form the base of the treat holder.

Line up the bottom edge of one cat with the bottom edge of the 3/4" score line and adhere in place.

From the side, the treat holder is starting to take on the shape of the letter U.

Add a glue dot to the bottom of a Hershey Kiss and adhere to the center of the treat holder base.

Line with the second cat's ears with the first cat's ears, pinch together while adhering the bottom of the second cat to the other side of the treat holder base.

Adhere the two cat heads together. Tie and attach the Calypso Coral Ombre Ribbon bow to the cat. Then adhere a gold heart enamel shape to the center of the bow.

This treat holder is so quick and easy and uses very little supplies. I made four variations using the Painted with Love Designer Series Paper.

You can create a plethora of treat holders in no time. I think I got a little carried away!

2-in-1 Thanksgiving Pumpkin Treat Holder and Placecard

Is it a treat holder or a place card? Why not be both!? Delight your Thanksgiving guests with this a pumpkin chocolate kiss triangle treat holder!

Hello Harvest, Rustic Pumpkin Dies, Thanksgiving place card chocolate kiss treat holder, table setting, 3D, home decor

This style of treat holder is so easy, quick to make, and can be customizable to the materials that you have on hand.

The base is a piece of cardstock bent into the shape of a triangle. Then a die cut or punched shape is adhered to 2 sides of the triangle and then adhered together. Lastly, a chocolate kiss is placed in the center of the triangle.

You may be familiar with this treat holder style with my plethora of cat punch treat holders for Valentine's Day and Halloween. Now that the cat punch is retired, I had to brainstorm other punches and dies that I could make the triangle treat holder with.

Don't worry. I didn't sell my cat punch after it retired. The cat punch is one punch that I plan on keeping for a long time regardless of its current or retired status. So, you may see some projects in the future with the cat punch.

With Thanksgiving coming soon, the pumpkin stamp and die from the #159634 Hello Harvest stamp set and the #159643 Rustic Pumpkin Dies was a great place to start!

Once I made the treat holders, I added a name tag across the front of the pumpkin to add the name of a guest. I wrote the names for these samples with my computer. However, I recommend a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker or a Basic Black Stampin' Blend to write the name of your guest before you attach the name tag to the pumpkin.

These treat holder place cards are versatile. Use them during the dinner or after. The place cards can be put at each guest's place setting or on a side table for guests to pick up when they arrive or for when they leave.

Week 1: Spooktacular Cat Treat Holders

Craft with Beth: Stampin' Up! 8 Weeks of Halloween Cat Punch Treat Holder Hershey Kiss Toil and Trouble DSP Designer Series Paper HalloweenCraft with Beth: Stampin' Up! 8 Weeks of Halloween Cat Punch Treat Holder Hershey Kiss Toil and Trouble DSP Designer Series Paper Halloween

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays! I love it all - the costumes, the candy, the decorations! I go all out! I have so many decorations that I need a closet just for them. Eek! What better way to share my favorite holiday than by making treat holders and cards with you! Over the next 8 Fridays, I will sharing frightfully adorable projects to help you get ready for Halloween.

Week 1 starts with a quick and precious Cat Punch Treat Holder. I modeled these Hershey Kiss(r) treat holders after the ones I made for Valentine's Day.

Craft with Beth: Stampin' Up! Halloween Cat Punch Treat Holder Hershey Kiss Toil and Trouble DSP Designer Series Paper

I used solid cardstock as well as the Toil and Trouble Designer Series Paper for the cats. The solid cardstock cats have a witch's hat die cut from the Toil and Trouble Designer Series Paper. Most of the framelits in the Cauldron Framelit set coordinate with the stamps and the images in the Designer Series Paper! Talk about quick and beautiful! The witch's hats on the Designer Series Paper have a variety of designs, including a sunflower, spiders, and stars - for adding even more possibilities for your treat holder designs!

I chose Basic Gray and Basic Black cardstock because my own two cats are gray and black. They are my sweeties! My gray tabby even greets trick or treat-ers every year! I think she likes Halloween as much as I do.

The rhinestones are custom colored using Stampin' Blends. Now you can have rhinestones in every Stampin' Blend color! The permanency in the Stampin' Blends helps bind the color to the rhinestone, so it doesn't come off easily.

The color palette stays with traditional and newer Halloween colors - Basic Black, Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Lemon Lime Twist, Rich Razzleberry, Fresh Fig, Mango Melody, and Granny Apple Green.  I am loving the combination of Basic Black, Whisper White, Lemon Lime Twist, and Rich Razzleberry!

Craft with Beth: Stampin' Up! Halloween Cat Punch Treat Holder Hershey Kiss Toil and Trouble DSP Designer Series Paper

After finishing the cat treat holders, I thought, "Could you make this with a witch's hat?" Yes, you can! The only caveat is that the witch hat stamp and the witch hat framelit are NOT symmetrical. So, you need to flip one witch hat to the other side just like the cat punch. To work around this, I used solid cardstock, but you could absolutely use the reflection technique to stamp a mirror image of the witch hat too!

Craft with Beth: Stampin' Up! Cauldron Framelits Witch Hat Treat Holder Halloween Hershey Kiss

For the Pumpkin Pie hat band, cut a 1/4" by 11" strip of cardstock and adhere it to the hat. Then trim off the excess.

The size of these treat holders is purrfect for school parties, the doctor's office staff, coworkers, family members, neighbors, friends, and more while still remaining economical.

Give this project a try for your next Halloween party! I look forward to seeing how you decorate your Cat Punch and Witch Hat treat holders!

You can find the measurements and a supply list at the end of this post.
